Adam was born on February 14th, 1776 in Hagerstown, Washington, Maryland, USA.1  Adam's father was George Reitenauer and his mother was Maria Elizabeth Snyder (Reitenauer, Gallentine).  His maternal grandparents were Jacob Schneider and Maria Magdalena Bissinger (Schneider). He had two brothers named Johann and Johannes.  He was the oldest of the three known children. He had four half-brothers and a half-sister, named Jacob, Joseph, Abraham, Daniel and Elizabeth.  He died at the age of 82 in 1858 in Springfield township, Fayette County, Pennsylvania, USA.1 

Adam's first family

Adam and Hannah were married in a religious ceremony in 1796.1   They had eleven sons and nine daughters, named Henry, Samuel, Peter, George, John, Jacob, Joseph, James, Adam, Christian, William, Hannah, Margaret, Susannah, Levina, Demaris, Katherine, Nancy, Anna Marie and Julia.  The family line is yet to be completed.


Adam's second family

Adam and Peggy were married in a religious & civil ceremony about 1800.2  The family line is yet to be completed.


Adam's third family

Adam and Catherine were married in a religious & civil ceremony.1   They had a son named George.  The family line is yet to be completed.
