Joseph Harper

Joseph was born in 1829 in Penkridge, Staffordshire and his christening took place on May 19th, 1829.¹ Joseph's father was James Harper and his mother was Sarah Lees. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Harper and Hannah Clift; his maternal grandparents were Joseph Lees and Mary. He had four brothers and three sisters, named William, James, William, Edward, Emily, Hannah and Martha. He was the third oldest of the eight children.
