Thomas Gale 
Thomas was born in 1855 in Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Thomas' father was William Gale and his mother was Elizabeth Jordan. His paternal grandparents were William Gale and Elizabeth Stead; his maternal grandparents were Dennis Jordan and Harriet Oxley. He had four sisters named Sarah, Elizabeth, Ellen and Hannah. He was the third oldest of the five children.-
