Elizabeth Gale 
Elizabeth was born in 1851 in Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Elizabeth's father was William Gale and her mother was Elizabeth Jordan. Her paternal grandparents were William Gale and Elizabeth Stead; her maternal grandparents were Dennis Jordan and Harriet Oxley. She had a brother and three sisters, named Thomas, Sarah, Ellen and Hannah. She was the second oldest of the five children.-
