James Farrer

James was born in 1774 in Nether Witton, Northumberland and his baptism took place there on June 3rd, 1774.  James' father was John Farrer and his mother was Isabel Amery. He had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Thomas, David, Ann and Jane.  He was the oldest of the six children.
