John Ludkin

John was born in 1872.  John's father was James Ludkin and his mother was Eliza Hales.  His paternal grandparents were James Ludkin and Mary Howlett; his maternal grandparents were George Hales and Frances Gowing. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Arthur, Albert, Georgiana, Susannah, Charlotte, Lilly, Jane and Mary.  He was the third youngest of the nine children.
