Mark Butler 
Mark was born in 1881 in Armley, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Mark's father was James Butler and his mother was Harriet Brooksbank. His paternal grandparents were William Butler and Mary Arendall; his maternal grandparents were James Brooksbank and Caroline Roberts. He had a brother and seven sisters, named James, Mary, Caroline, Rose, Florence, Matilda, Nellie and Louie. He was the fifth oldest of the nine children.-
