Caroline Roberts 
Caroline was born in 1831 in Hunslet, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 Caroline's father was James Roberts and her mother was Harriet Richardson. Her paternal grandparents were Samuel Roberts and Ann King; her maternal grandmother was Mary Stead. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John, Robert, William, Matilda and Mary. She was the third youngest of the six children.
