James Roberts 
James was born on October 22nd, 1802 in Hunslet, Leeds, Yorkshire.1 James' father was Samuel Roberts and his mother was Ann King. His paternal grandparents were John Roberts and Mary Nicolson. He had three brothers and five sisters, named William, John, Thomas, Mary, Hannah, Esther, Sarah and Elizabeth. He was the fourth oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 58 on February 27th, 1861 in Lower Wortley, Leeds, Yorkshire.2
