Marie was born on February 18th, 1888.  Marie's father was Wilhelm Friedrich Christoph Laue and her mother was Hanna Friederike Louise Scherf. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Herman, Otto, Heinrich, Friedrich, Friedrich, Helene, Sophie, Cathrine, Elise and Anna.  She was the third oldest of the eleven children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Johannes and Elizabeth.  She died at the age of 58 on May 28th, 1946.
