Friedrich was born on December 26th, 1895.  Friedrich's father was Wilhelm Friedrich Christoph Laue and his mother was Hanna Friederike Louise Scherf. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Herman, Otto, Heinrich, Friedrich, Marie, Helene, Sophie, Cathrine, Elise and Anna.  He was the nineth oldest of the eleven children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Johannes and Elizabeth.  He died at just 10 days old on January 5th, 1896.
