Charles was born on January 20th, 1897 in West Bromwich, Stafford.¹ Charles' father was Joseph PAGE and his mother was Elizabeth LONG. His paternal grandparents were Samuel PAGE and Elizabeth WALMSLEY; his maternal grandparents were Robert LONG and Sarah PEARCE. He had five brothers and two sisters, named Joseph, Robert, Benjamin, Thomas, William, Rose and Annie. He had a half-sister named Alice. He died at the age of 75 on January 22nd, 1972 in Pontefract Hospital.¹
