Victorine was born on May 4th, 1816.  Victorine's father was Alexandra Paul Mire and her mother was Marie Celestine Lanoue.  Her paternal grandparents were Joachim  (Bénoni) dit Bénoni Lemire and Madeleine Melançon; her maternal grandparents were Pierre Lanoue and Catalina LeBlanc. She had four brothers and a sister, named Belonie, Joesph, Paul, Pierre and Marie.  She was the fifth oldest of the six children.
