    Funeral services for James Allen Elmore, 43, of Rosepine, were held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 26, 2007, at the Rosepine United Pentecostal  Church with Rev. Gary Bankson and Rev. Leon Anderson officiating. Burial followed in the Rosepine Cemetery under the direction of the  Hixson Funeral Home of Leesville. He was a resident of the Rosepine area for the past 21 years, once leaving his birthplace in the Orange, Texas area. He passed away peacefully in his sleep due to kidney and heart failure from hereditary conditions. He was preceded in death by  his parents, Pawana McPayne and Joseph Elmore and brother Roy Elmore. He is survived by his wife, Katrina Elmore, of 22 years; sons Johnathon and James Ashton Elmore of Rosepine; daughters Jilana Mercado and husband Jeremy of Fort Polk, Eden Rose and Katrina “Faith” Elmore of Rosepine; brothers Joseph “Bubba” of Fort Polk, Pat and Dallas of Orange, Texas; sisters Mary Fruge' of Oberlin, Justine  Hutson of Deweyville, Texas, Susie Williams of Houston and Debra Elmore of Buna, Texas.
