- Joseph Wallace Elmore married Pawana McPayne. They had 9 children: Betty (died in infancy) Mary, Joseph Wallace Jr. (Bubba), Justine, Roy, Susie, Debra Kay, James and Dallas. Mary's father was Patrick Owen McPayne and her mother was Odelia Duhon. Her maternal grandparents were Taomelt Leo Duhon and Suzie Berry. She had a brother and five sisters, named Patrick, Peggy, Margaret, Anna, Fannie and Gloria. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named Willie, Chris and Belle. She died on November 8th, 1989 in Jefferson County, Texas, USA.
