Fredericus was born on December 6th, 1836.  Fredericus' father was Augustinus Pieters and his mother was Ursula Rosalie Verhamme.  His paternal grandparents were François Pieters and Ivonne Carolina Vanlandere; his maternal grandparents were Joannes Verhamme and Sophia Depoortere. He had three brothers and a sister, named Joannes Baptiste, Carolus Ludovicus, Ivo and Francisca.  He was the third oldest of the five children.  He died at the age of 83 on October 23rd, 1920.
