Augustinus was born on August 28th, 1798.  Augustinus' father was François Pieters and his mother was Ivonne Carolina Vanlandere.  His paternal grandparents are Livin Pieters and Jacobe Vanquathem. He had two brothers named Leo and Louis.  He was the second oldest of the three children.  He died at the age of 80 on December 27th, 1878.
