Marie Therese was born on November 9th, 1755.  Marie Therese's father was Joannes Oliverius Eligius Benoit and her mother was Marie Joanna Carette.  Her paternal grandparents were Andreas Benoit and Joanna Maria Geldhof. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Laurentius Joannes, Petrus Joannes, Petrus Josephus, Maria Josepha, Victoria and Constantia Dorothea.  She was the second oldest of the seven children.  She died at the age of 74 on April 20th, 1830.
