Frederic Henri was born on April 19th, 1835.  Frederic Henri's father was Lucas Bernardus Algoet and his mother was Anna Theresia Buyse.  His paternal grandparents were Adrianus Algoet and Anna Maria Coudijzer; his maternal grandparents were Felix Buyze and Isabelle Rose Dhoop. He had two brothers and a sister, named Francois, Desiderius and Barbara.  He was the oldest of the four children.
