Barbara was born on January 1st, 1840.  Barbara's father was Lucas Bernardus Algoet and her mother was Anna Theresia Buyse.  Her paternal grandparents were Adrianus Algoet and Anna Maria Coudijzer; her maternal grandparents were Felix Buyze and Isabelle Rose Dhoop. She had three brothers named Frederic Henri, Francois and Desiderius.  She was the youngest of the four children.  She died at the age of 75 on March 24th, 1915.
