William Tosh 
William was born on November 21st, 1871 in Balclutha, NZ. William's father was William Tosh and his mother was Betsy McNicol Hardie. His maternal grandparents were William Hardie and Elizabeth Allardice. He had two brothers and five sisters, named Jim, Alec, Jane, Annie, Elizabeth, Agnes and Ellen 'Helen'. He was the oldest of the eight children. He died at the age of 71 in August 1943 in Lane Cove, Sydney, NSW, Australia.-
