James (Jim) Tosh 
James , known as Jim, was born on November 18th, 1880 in Balclutha, NZ. Jim's father was William Tosh and his mother was Betsy McNicol Hardie. His maternal grandparents were William Hardie and Elizabeth Allardice. He had two brothers and five sisters, named William, Alec, Jane, Annie, Elizabeth, Agnes and Ellen 'Helen'. He was the third youngest of the eight children. He died at the age of 91 in June 1972.-
