Elizabeth was born on November 25th, 1876 in Balclutha, NZ. Elizabeth's father was William Tosh and her mother was Betsy McNicol Hardie. Her maternal grandparents were William Hardie and Elizabeth Allardice. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Jim, Alec, Jane, Annie, Agnes and Ellen 'Helen'. She was the fourth oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 91 on June 22nd, 1968 in Dunedin NZ.
