Jean Hardie

Jean was born on March 26th, 1833 in Kirkden, Angus, Scotland and her baptism took place there on April 6th, 1833.¹   Jean's father was Patrick Hardie and her mother was Betty Greig.  Her paternal grandparents were James Hardie and Christian Thomson. She had a brother and three sisters, named George, Ann, Isobel and Mary.  She was the second oldest of the five children.
