George Hardie

George was born on December 7th, 1836 in Kinnell, Angus, Scotland.¹ George's father was Patrick Hardie and his mother was Betty Greig. His paternal grandparents were James Hardie and Christian Thomson. He had four sisters named Ann, Jean, Isobel and Mary. He was the second youngest of the five children.
