Mary Catherine Hannaway

Mary was born in 1872 in Witton Park, Escomb, Co. Durham, England and her baptism took place on September 1st, 1872 in St Wilfred's, Bishop Auckland, Durham, England.¹   Mary's father was Peter Hannaway and her mother was Bridget Rice.  Her paternal grandfather was Peter Hannaway and her paternal grandmother is <Unknown>. She had four brothers and three sisters, named John, Peter, Patrick, Michael, Mary , Rose and Bridget.  She was the third youngest of the eight children.
