William Davidson

William was born on August 7th, 1785 in Brechin, Angus, Scotland.  William's father was George Davidson and his mother was Katharine Strachan.  His paternal grandparents were John Davidson and Isobel Petrie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named David, John, James, Isabel, Janet, Margaret and Agnes.  He was the second youngest of the eight children.
