James Davidson

James was born on April 1st, 1781 in Brechin, Angus, Scotland.  James' father was George Davidson and his mother was Katharine Strachan.  His paternal grandparents were John Davidson and Isobel Petrie. He had three brothers and four sisters, named David, John, William, Isabel, Janet, Margaret and Agnes.  He was the third youngest of the eight children.
