Andrew was born on September 3rd, 1804 in Murroes, Angus, Scotland. Andrew's father was Andrew Davidson and his mother was Christian Petrie. His maternal grandparents were Henry Petrie and Margaret Elder. He had five brothers and five sisters, named Henry, Alexander, John, David, Thomas, Isobel, Margaret, Christina, Agnes and Ann. He died at the age of 80 on August 11th, 1885 in St Vigeans, Angus, Scotland.1 General Notes
