Mary was born on August 10th, 1881 in Inglewood, Taranaki, NZ. Mary's father was Haylett "John" Daines and her mother was Mary Ann Bugg. Her paternal grandparents were William Daines and Elizabeth Hales; her maternal grandparents were William Rush and Sarah Ann Bugg. She had three brothers and six sisters, named William, Stephen, George, Sarah, Barbara, Margaret, Matilda, Barbara 'Nellie' and Alice Agnes. George and Mary were twins. She died due to a medical problem, Appendicitis 8 days and General peritonitis 6 days, at the age of 32 on April 7th, 1914 in Hawera, Taranaki, NZ. She was buried on April 9th, 1914 in Hawera, Taranaki, NZ.1 1 Death Notes
