William Daines

William was born in 1812 in Tacolneston, Norfolk, England and his baptism took place on August 30th, 1812 in Norfolk, England.¹ William's father was Robert Daines and his mother was Mary N Newby. His paternal grandparents were William Daines and Esther Hudson; his maternal grandparents were James Newby and Mary Rudd. He had three brothers and nine sisters, named Robert, James, John, Esther, Mary, Rebecca, Frances, Sarah, Elizabeth, Ann, Susanna and Mariah. He was the fourth oldest of the thirteen children.
