Michael , known as Mich, was born on August 6th, 1903 in Rawhitiroa, NZ.  Mich's father was Dennis  Brew and his mother was Margaret Jane Daines.  His paternal grandparents were James Brew and Margaret Murphy; his maternal grandparents were Haylett "John" Daines and Mary Ann Bugg. He had five brothers and eight sisters, named Denis, Jim, Jock, Thomas, Robert, Margaret, Annie, Molly, Kitty, Margaret, Pay, Ada and Ellie.  He was the seventh oldest of the fourteen children.  He died due to natural causes or old age, Cerebrovascular accident: 13 hours and Atherosclerosis, at the age of 74 on March 3rd, 1978 in Eltham, Taranaki, NZ.  He was cremated on March 6th, 1978 in New Plymouth.1 1
