Thomas Fitzwilliam de Greystoke 
Thomas was born in 1190 in Greystoke, Cumberland, England.1 Thomas' father was William Fitzranulf de Greystoke and his mother was Helwise de Stuteville. His paternal grandparents were Ralph Fitzwalter de Greystoke and Amabel de Baliol; his maternal grandparents were Robert Stuteville IV and Sibella de Valognes. He had five brothers named Simon, Richard, Elye, Gilbert and Alexander. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named Henry and Hawise. He died at the age of 57 in 1247.1 General Notes
Thomas de Greystoke obtained a royal charter, 29th Henry III [1245], to hold a weekly market and yearly fair. This Thomas m. Christian, dau. of Roger de Viteripont, the first of that name of Appleby Castle, and was s. by his son, Robert de Greystoke.
