Her paternal grandparents were Benjamin T [Sr @@] Thornton and Sarah E [@@] Upshaw. She had nine brothers and two sisters, named Fleming Payne [@@], Thomas S [@@], William E [@@], Benjamin Calloway [Sr Rev @@], John Carter [Sr @@], Asa Chandler [@@], Dozier [@@], Mallory J [@@], Jesse N [@@], Mary Ann [@@] and Priscilla E [@@]. She was the fourth oldest of the twelve children. She died at the age of 86 on August 4th, 1912.-
