Benjamin T [Sr @@] was born on October 12th, 1779 in Warren Co, NC. Benjamin T [Sr @@]'s father was Dozier [Sr Rev @@] Thornton and his mother was Lucy Elizabeth Hill. His paternal grandparents were Mark [Jr @@] Thornton and Susannah Elizabeth "Susan" Dozier. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Jeremiah [@@], Reuben [@@], Dozier [Jr @@], Evans [@@], Jonathan M [@@], Greene [@@], Sanford [@@], Martha Ann "Patsy" [@@], Priscilla [@@], Elizabeth White [@@] and Lucy [@@]. He was the second oldest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 56 on January 21st, 1836.-
