Sanford [@@] was born in 1798. Sanford [@@]'s father was Dozier [Sr Rev @@] Thornton and his mother was Lucy Elizabeth Hill. His paternal grandparents were Mark [Jr @@] Thornton and Susannah Elizabeth "Susan" Dozier. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Jeremiah [@@], Benjamin T [Sr @@], Reuben [@@], Dozier [Jr @@], Evans [@@], Jonathan M [@@], Greene [@@], Martha Ann "Patsy" [@@], Priscilla [@@], Elizabeth White [@@] and Lucy [@@]. He was the youngest of the twelve children. He died at the age of 55 on March 4th, 1853.-
