James Stone

James was born on March 14th, 1589 in Croston, Bretherton, Lancashire, England.¹ James' father was Richard de Croston Stone and his mother was Isabelle Girdler. His paternal grandparents were William Stone de Twiste and Elizabeth Bradley; his maternal grandparents were John Girdler and <Unknown>. He had five brothers and three sisters, named John, Henry, Thomas, Andrew, Robert, Mary, Jennet and Margery. He was the third youngest of the nine children.
