U. Leland Stanford 
U. Leland was born on July 15th, 1892 in Rockingham Co, NC. U. Leland's father was Thomas Stanford and his mother was Mary Lee Roberts. His maternal grandparents were James Dutch Roberts and Nancy Jane Sneed. He had two brothers and a sister, named William 'Willie' Irving, Guy and Jane.
