Louisa Skaggs

Louisa was born in 1852 in Madison Co., Missouri.¹ Louisa's father was Stephen Skaggs and her mother was Nancy Cobb. Her paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Hannah Holbrook. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William, Henry, Melton Louis, Stephen,Jr., George Washington, Joseph, Nancy E. and Mary C.. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children.
