Sydney M. was born in 1873 in White Co, TN. Sydney M.'s father was Andrew Jackson 'Jack' Simmons and his mother was Canzantia A. 'Canzada' Stipe. His paternal grandparents were Joseph N. Simmons and Mary Elizabeth 'Betty' Lewis. He had a brother and four sisters, named George W., Martha L., Mary Dora, Cassa and Bettie. He was the third youngest of the six children.General Notes
