Daniel Ethen Simmons 
Daniel Ethen was born on June 4th, 1866 in Terry, Orange, Texas. Daniel Ethen's father was Daniel Henry Simmons and his mother was Susanah Jemima Harris. His maternal grandparents were Victor Nely Harris and Nancy Ann Netterville. He had three brothers and nine sisters, named William Nely, Thomas Henry, Charles Netterville, Ann Sarah, Susannah Jemima (or Martha Rebecca), Martha Rebecca, Rachel Elizabeth, Mary (or Sarah) Jane, Amanda Jane, Susanah Samantha, Henrieta Virginia and Victoria Aurelia. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 54 on October 30th, 1920 in , Orange, Texas. He was buried in Simmons Cemetery, Orange, Texas.-
