Maria Shirley 
Maria was born in 1566 in Wiston, Sussex, England. Maria's father was Thomas Shirley and her mother was Anne Kempe dau of Sir Thomas Kempe of Wye by Catherine Chenye. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Kempe and Cecily Katherine Cheyney. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Anthony, Robert, Isabel, Elizabeth (Margaret), Cecily, Cicely, Jane and Anne. She was the fourth oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 83 on March 13th, 1649. She was buried on March 13th, 1649 in , Saxham Parva, Suffolk, England.-
