Cecily Shirley 
Cecily was born in 1570 in Wiston, Sussex, England. Cecily's father was Thomas Shirley and her mother was Anne Kempe dau of Sir Thomas Kempe of Wye by Catherine Chenye. Her maternal grandparents were Thomas Kempe and Cecily Katherine Cheyney. She had three brothers and six sisters, named Thomas, Anthony, Robert, Isabel, Maria, Elizabeth (Margaret), Cicely, Jane and Anne. She was the fifth youngest of the ten children.General Notes
