William Raney Roberts Jr. 
William Raney was born on March 16th, 1888 in Orange Co, NC.1 William Raney's father was William Raney 'Billy' Roberts and his mother was Mary Thomas Rountree. His paternal grandparents were David Roberts and Nancy Ann Hawkins. He had four brothers and four sisters, named David Thomas, John Vance, Jeff Lee, Clyde Taylor, Cora Elizabeth, Annie, Mary Ruth and Ora. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 72 on November 17th, 1960 in Hillsborough, Orange Co, NC. He was buried on November 19th, 1960 in Hillsborough Town Cemetery, Hillsboro, Orange Co, NC.1 General Notes
