David Roberts 
David was born in 1834 in Caswell Co, NC and his baptism took place in Census 1850.1 David's father was Zephaniah Roberts and his mother was Elizabeth 'Betsy' Smith. His paternal grandparents were Vincent Roberts and Elizabeth Reed. He had three brothers and five sisters, named James, William R., Franklin, Mary, Sallie, Martha, Elizabeth and Frances. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 27 in 1861.1 General Notes
