Samuel Read 
Samuel was born in 1669 in Mendon, Worcester, Massachusetts.1 Samuel's father was Samuel Read and his mother was Hopestill Holbrook. His maternal grandparents were William Holbrook and Elizabeth Pitts. He had three brothers and a sister, named John, Josiah, Ebenezer and Mercy. He was the oldest of the five children. He died at the age of 56 in 1725.1 General Notes
