Josiah Read 
Josiah was born in 1675 in Mendon, Worcester, Massachusetts.1 Josiah's father was Samuel Read and his mother was Hopestill Holbrook. His maternal grandparents were William Holbrook and Elizabeth Pitts. He had three brothers and a sister, named Samuel, John, Ebenezer and Mercy.
