Ruth Odie Powell 
Ruth Odie was born on July 22nd, 1898 in Rockingham Co, NC. Ruth Odie's father was James William Powell and her mother was Susan Frances Roberts. Her maternal grandparents were James Ellis Roberts and Jane Moore. She had three brothers and four sisters, named Robert Lee, James Tracy, Thomas Weldon, Nora, Eva Gordon, Carrie Maude and Annie Bea. She was the fourth youngest of the eight children. She died at the age of 76 on August 15th, 1974 in Greensboro, Guilford Co, NC. She was buried on August 17th, 1974 in Eden United Methodist Church Cemetery, Madison, Rockingham Co, NC.General Notes
