Clata Ray was born on August 22nd, 1920 in Van Buren Co, TN. Clata Ray's father was William Measles and her mother was Ethel Amanda Simmons. Her maternal grandparents were Abijah P. 'Bige' Simmons and Lodema Jane Grissom. She had two brothers and five sisters, named Clifford, Robert, Vivian Lois, Wilene, Roberta Glennell, Elizabeth and Lyla. She died at the age of 22 on July 7th, 1943 in Van Buren Co, TN.General Notes
