Abijah P. 'Bige' Simmons 
Abijah P. 'Bige' was born in October 1861 in White Co, TN and his baptism took place in Census 1900. Abijah P. 'Bige''s father was William M. Simmons and his mother was Mary Catherine Stipe. His paternal grandparents were Zachariah Thomas Simmons and Mary Louisa Dodson. He had a brother and five sisters, named Jay W., Melinda 'Lindy' Louisa, Louisa Caroline, Maggie 'Mag' J., Mary Frances and Alice Lillian. He was the oldest of the seven children. He died at the age of 41 in 1902 in Van Buren Co, TN. He was buried in Friendship Cemetery, Campaign, Warren Co, TN.General Notes
